Scoreboard Editor for PES 2008!

This is the ScoreBoardEditor made by Fastdog for PES 2008 so that everybody (even those how don't know anything about hex-editing) can make his own scoreboard.

The current version includes the following features:

* Edit the position of all elements of the scoreboard
* Edit the size of all elements of the scoreboard
* No zLib import/export is needed (you can simply open unnamed_863.bin with the editor)

The use of the editor is very simple:
1. Export the file unnamed_863.bin from cv_0.img (for excample with GGS).
2. Open the file with the ScoreBoardEditor.
3. Edit the values you want to edit.
4. Save the file.
5. Import the file into cv_0.img.

Some Tips:

* With the scale-attribute you can only stretch a element.
* With the width-attribute you can make a element more wider,
with the height-attribute you can make it more heigher.
(The best is you test it by yourselft)
* Change the values only in small steps. After changing a value start the game and made a screen from the game.
Next time you have change a value, make a new Screen and compare the screen with the old screen. Now you see what happens and you can move the element easyer.

Argentina Lead Brazil, Italy In 2007 FIFA Rankings

t is the third month on the trot that the Albicelestes have been in first place, after they knocked Italy off their perch back in October.

Due to the lack of international matches over the past month, the top 20 teams in FIFA’s list are identical to those of November.

Brazil are behind Argentina in second, despite thrashing their bitter enemies 3-0 in the final of the Copa America during the summer.

World Champions Italy are in third, while fellow European powerhouses Spain and Germany are fourth and fifth respectively.

The Czech Republic, who may see legendary star Pavel Nedved come out of international retirement in time for Euro 2008, are in an excellent sixth place.

Raymond Domenech’s France are seventh, Portugal are eighth, while Holland and Croatia complete the top 10.

As for the British nations, new England boss Fabio Capello will certainly be looking to improve their position of 12th, just two places above Scotland.

Northern Ireland are in 32nd, the Republic of Ireland in 35th, while Wales are languishing in 57th.

The Top 10:

1) Argentina

2) Brazil

3) Italy

4) Spain

5) Germany

6) Czech Republic

7) France

8) Portugal

9) Holland

10) Croatia

Lampard Almost Certain to Move to Juve - Report

The England international has been heavily linked with the Serie B champions for some time, and Juventus director of sport, Alessio Secco, met with Chelsea officials to discuss a transfer last month.

Under new FIFA transfer rules, as Lampard is over the age of 28 and has already seen out most of his contract, he would be able to leave Chelsea for a cut-price fee.

Blues owner Roman Abramovich has set his stall out to create a more exciting and universally appealing brand of football at Stamford Bridge, and one of the major casualties of this change will be Lampard, who is known more for his substance than for his style.

The 29-year-old is keen to experience a new challenge abroad and would relish the chance to hook up with old boss Claudio Ranieri, the man who was responsible for launching his career when he signed him from West Ham in 2001.

According to Tuttosport, Lampard has agreed to move to Juventus next season providing they up their wage offer of £4m a season to £4.7m.

This miniscule difference is unlikely to cause problems, and the only thing that can now stop the East Londoner from moving to Turin is if Juventus fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

Lippi To Be Offered England Job - Report

The 59-year-old has been out of work since resigning as boss of the Azzurri following the World Cup triumph in Germany last summer.

According to the ‘Corriere’, an FA representative flew out to Italy to discuss personal terms with Lippi, before coming to an initial agreement with him.

Until now Lippi was not considered as that high up on the English FA’s shortlist, mainly due to the fact that he does not speak English.

Ex-Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is the favourite with the bookmakers, and when asked yesterday if he would take the job, he replied “why not”.

The only high-profile candidate to so far declare that they want the position is former Real Madrid, Roma, Milan and Juventus tactician Fabio Capello.

Reports in the English press suggest that a new manager to replace the sacked Steve McClaren will be in place before the New Year.

The Three Lions failed to qualify for Euro 2008 after an embarrassing 3-2 home defeat to Croatia at Wembley in their final qualifier.

Messi: Ronaldinho's Working Hard To Regain His Place

Messi: Ronaldinho's Working Hard To Regain His Place Lionel Messi has praised Ronaldinho as the Brazilian looks to regain a place in the Barcelona first team.

The young Argentine said, "He's working hard to take back a starting place, and he's doing very well in that respect.

"It's good to see him work hard and feel good.

"Transfer rumours? Ronnie and his brother have said many times that he's not going anywhere."

Messi then admitted that he's looking forward to reuniting with Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o, who is himself on the verge of recovery from injury.

"There was a time we were all together in bad spate of injuries, and now we're all coming back," said Messi.

"It's great timing, and we'll look to play matches as we've been doing at home so far."

Messi has come in for a bit of criticism of late for being raw around the edges, but the player himself is unconcerned.

"I will keep playing in my style and I don't think that will change," he said.

"I want to improve, but my way is always the same."

Messi has scored eight Liga goals this season, with three coming from the penalty spot.

Romário Suspended For Doping

The source of the controversy appears to be centred around the use of a substance known as Propecia; a concoction designed to slow down the effects of MPB (Male Pattern Baldness, not Música Popular Brasileira - Brazilian pop music) and which had also been detected in a routine test on Marcão (Internacional) during the Brasileirão (Brazilian First Division) 2007.

O Baixinho (Shorty) has been using the product to avoid his bald spot from spreading into a more Monk-like clearance but the product is also used to mask the use of other prohibited substances such as the steroids used to overcome injuries and regain muscle mass wasted while players are in dry dock - although Romário has denied using anything illicit.

Speaking on TV Globo the player was calm but resigned to the fact that the ban could spell an earlier end to his playing career. "I'm 41 and at my age you can't go without playing for three or four months, so, the way it is right now, I may have played my last game, but I hope that things will be cleared up and people should know there's nothing nasty behind it", he explained.

Just in case he's called for further reference urine and blood tests, Romário has admitted that he's stopped using Propecia - and showed that his sense of humour is still intact. "I've stopped using the product, even if it means that my hair starts falling out again", he ended with a resigned smile - and hope for a speedy and positive resolution to the confusion.

PES2008 VS FIFA 2008

amers have been arguing over PES and FIFA across playgrounds, parks and pubs throughout the UK for almost as long as we can remember. FIFA is for less hardcore gamers, it has all the licenses, the better commentary, the gorgeous graphics and the arcadey gameplay. PES, on the other hand, is a true simulation, focusing on slow, considered gameplay over presentation. Now, in the first of a new exclusive regular series, we pit the two footballing heavyweights against each other in VideoGamer.com's VS.

GRAPHICS

FIFA 08: EA Sports has always done a great job of making its FIFA games look great, and the 08 edition is no different. Put simply, the game looks stunning, with glorious HD graphics, superb stadiums and excellent player animation. It looks so good that you would be forgiven for thinking you were watching a Premiership clash on Sky Sports. If we have one gripe it's that close up the players look fat, and their faces can look a bit odd. But that's not enough to prevent FIFA 08 being the best looking football game and arguably the best looking sports game of all time.

PES 2008: PES has always been a bit light on the looks front, and PES 2008 does nothing to address this common complaint. The presentation is average, the menus a baffling mess and the match view a mediocre last-gen effort. But this is nothing new. What is new is that there is more slowdown in PES 2008 than in any previous version of the game - on the PS3. The replays are so bad it's almost impossible to see anything. While the Xbox 360 version plays a perfectly smooth game, the PS3 version suffers terribly. Penalties are in slo-mo and there's regular tearing. The game's legendary Japanese producer has said his team is not built for multi-platform development, which may go some way to explaining the problems. But that won't do anything to make gamers who have forked out their hard-earned cash for what they thought was the first true next-gen PlayStation PES feel any better.

VERDICT: FIFA slides in on PES, wins the ball clean, races down the other end of the pitch, fires a 30-yard screamer into the top corner then runs back to rub it in. No contest.

SOUND

FIFA 08: Again, another area where FIFA has traditionally excelled. Once again EA has jam packed the game full of tracks from actual artists. The commentary, from Sky Sports stalwarts Martin Tyler and Andy Gray, is excellent, despite the odd annoying repetitive statement. The ball sounds suitably realistic, whether it's met with a Rooney thunderbolt or a subtle Fabregas stroke, and the crowd pump out real, recognisable chants. Put simply, FIFA 08 sounds like the real game.

PES 2008: Commentary, this time provided by the BBC's Jon Champion and Mark Lawrenson, is the best ever for a PES game, and more up with play than ever before. However, the music is still terrible, with some frankly embarrassing tracks to listen to while you navigate the menus. In a match, the crowds sound OK, but there's no real world chants. And there's a curious ooomph sound effect when two players clash. Overall, better commentary, but everything else is still poor.

VERDICT: PES 2008 saves a penalty from FIFA 08, but EA Sport's player tucks in the rebound anyway.

GAMEPLAY

FIFA 08: FIFA has always been considered more of an arcade game, with an emphasis on fast play, silky skills and spectacular goals. This effort however, is a much slower affair, with nice, fluid gameplay that, while still providing a platform for some ridiculous skills and jaw-dropping goals, is simply really good fun. We'd say FIFA 08 has the best gameplay of any FIFA game in recent memory, and perhaps even ever. EA Sports has obviously tried to emulate Konami's PES gameplay in recent years, and FIFA 08 is as good as they've managed to get it.

PES 2008: The new gameplay tweaks have split PES's loyal fanbase right down the middle. It's certainly a faster game, and your ability to go past players is much improved. Indeed dribbling feels more arcadey than any PES has ever done, which is ironic given FIFA's recent change of direction. For me though, I think PES 2008's gameplay has hit a sweet spot. Yes, the goalkeepers spill shots way too easily, and there can be comical moments where it all feels a bit like a goal-line scramble in a Conference match, but it's still fantastic fun.

VERDICT: PES 2008 displays some silky Ronaldinho-esque skills it has previously kept hidden, giving FIFA the run around and a taste of its own medicine. The gap, however, is closer than ever.

MULTIPLAYER

FIFA 08: EA's latest provides a solid, enjoyable multiplayer experience, which is as good offline as it is online. That you can now play a five versus five match online is even better. A nice touch is online leagues, which collate all the results for, say, Chelsea, and work out where they place as an overall. Technically sound, you won't be disappointed when you get your mates around for a few beers, pizza, and the odd multiplayer match. A sterling effort from EA Sports.

PES 2008: Let's get the bad things out of the way first. Online PES 2008 is a laggy mess and, despite a recent patch for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, is full of ball warping and player teleportation. It's actually a worse online experience than in PES 6, which seems amazing to us. However, on 360, PES 2008 on a single console still provides one of the best multiplayer experiences gaming has to offer, purely because the machine provides a smooth match. Konami has said it is still working on further updates which will hopefully improve the online play, and offline PS3 play. We can only hope.

VERDICT: PES 2008 takes a woeful free kick which hits the FIFA 08 wall, wrong-foots the keeper and trickles into the net. A terrible online effort from Konami, but still some of the best multiplayer gaming to be had with your mates in front of the big TV.

FINAL SCORE

This of course comes down to personal taste, as does everything. For us, PES 2008 beats FIFA 08, but the final score is closer than ever. We're thinking a lucky 2-1 victory. This was no impressive performance. But, as they say, the mark of a champion is being able to win while not playing particularly well. The pressure is now on for Konami to drastically improve matters for the next game, and compete with a FIFA that will no doubt be even better.

Italy, France And Holland To Meet In Euro 2008

There were fears from the major powers that they could be placed in the same pot, but there were gasps as Group C emerged as the one to watch in Austria and Switzerland next summer.

Both the Italians and the French had feared that they could be paired together after the seedings were made without their performance in last year's World Cup Finals being taken into account.

The incredible draw will see at least one of the favourites to win the tournament bow at the first hurdle and the French and the Italians have some scores to settle after their qualification meetings.

In the other groups, things are wide open as joint hosts Switzerland will do well to qualify ahead of either the Cezech Republic, Portugal or Turkey.

Germany maybe considered to be favourites in Group B, but Croatia have shown how strong they are in qualification, while Austria on home ground will be an unknown quantity and Poland could spring a surprise.

The Spanish have some familiar opponents as they played Greece and Russia in the first phase of the European Championships four years ago and met Sweden in the qualifiers for next year's tournament.

Switzerland will open the tournament on June 7 when they meet the Czech Republic in the St. Jakob-Park in Basel.

Portugal

Group B

Group C

Kaka Thanks Fans For Golden Ball Win

With Kaka lifting the Golden Ball (pictured), the AC Milan midfielder and attacker may be justified in partaking of a bit of crowing.

After all, he bested the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi en route to winning the World Footballer of the Year award - no mean feat for the Brazilian.

Still, he has opted instead to say 'thank you' to the AC Milan fans who have supported him during what has been a largely memorable 2007.

"It's a special day, and it's so emotional for me and my family," said the 25 year old.

"We're all very excited, and I also want to share this joy with all the rossoneri fans.

"I express to them my most sincere gratitude, as without their help none of this would have been possible."

Angry Grant Tells Petit To Shut It

Former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Emmanuel Petit has caused a stir with his recent assertion that John Terry and Ashley Cole let England down in their final European qualifier against Croatia.

The Blues duo sat on the bench at Wembley nursing knocks, only to return for their club just three days later.

Shut Your Mouth

The accusations from the Frenchman have enraged Chelsea boss Avram Grant, who told Petit in no uncertain terms that his comments were out of order.

"I know that my players did everything to play in the England national team," said Grant, before adding that the remarks from Petit were particularly rich when one considers that in his Chelsea days Petit himself refused to travel with the Blues for a Uefa Cup game in Israel, claiming it was too dangerous.

"We can judge Emmanuel Petit on how he behaved as a player and John Terry behaved as the captain of the national team," said the Israeli, cuttingly.

"Remember that before the Russia game everybody said to John, including the doctor, that his chances to be fit were 50-50 but he decided to train and because of this he missed six weeks of training. So this was not the right thing to say, especially from Petit."

Complete Confidence in Redknapp

Turning his attentions to Harry Redknapp, who was this week arrested in conjunction with an investigation into alleged fraud and false accounting, Grant was full of support for the Pompey man. "I say to you as I sit here that I don't believe it," the Chelsea boss stated.

"I heard about corruption, but I haven't seen it. I want to believe that there is nothing in this case. I believe that, in the Premier League, these stories are not true. But I don't know. I was surprised," Grant added. "For me, Harry is a top manager and also a very good man. I'm sure he is innocent. I have not spoken to him about it but I sent him a message."

Australia: Newcastle Leave It Late, Adelaide Win

The game at Brisbane was heading for a goalless draw after Newcastle keeper Ante Covic had saved a Simon Lynch penalty.

In the dying seconds however, the in-form Griffiths headed home to inflict Queensland’s first defeat for nine games.

The three points takes the jets into fourth, a point behind Queensland in second – four points behind leaders Central Coast Mariners who take on Sydney on Saturday.

Adelaide United won 2-1 at Wellington Phoenix to stay third.

Paul Agostino put the Reds ahead in the ninth minute but Wellington’s Brazilian striker Daniel equalized from the spot midway through the second half.

With 11 minutes remaining, Lucas Pantellis scored the winner.
